About Doncaster East Car Repairs
A local automotive repair workshop based in Blackburn — established in 2001 by Mark and Penny Langdon in Doncaster East, before moving to Blackburn in 2011. The name has stayed because many local customers still know us by it.
Our story
Built on practical experience and repeat customers
Mark started his apprenticeship in 1982 and has spent his career working in the automotive industry. He was awarded the VACC Level 2 Motor Mechanic Apprentice of the Year in 1985 and the IAME Apprentice of the Year in 1986.
Today Mark works alongside a team with experience across everyday servicing, mechanical repairs, diagnostics, modern vehicle electronics and ECU reprogramming.
We’re proud of the awards and experience behind the business, but the most important measure is still the same: satisfied customers and consistent quality work.
Along the way
Four decades in the trade
1982
Mark begins his apprenticeship in the automotive industry.
1985–86
Mark is named VACC Apprentice of the Year (1985) and IAME Apprentice of the Year (1986).
2001
Mark and Penny Langdon establish Doncaster East Car Repairs in Doncaster East.
2011
The workshop moves to its current home at 24 Terra Cotta Drive, Blackburn.
2012
Harrison joins the team at the start of his apprenticeship.

Mark
Founder & mechanic
Founder of Doncaster East Car Repairs. Mark started his apprenticeship in 1982 and has spent his career in the automotive industry. He was awarded VACC Level 2 Motor Mechanic Apprentice of the Year in 1985 and the IAME Apprentice of the Year in 1986.
Jack
Diagnostics & ECU specialist
Jack has extensive experience in the automotive industry and specialises in modern car computer control modules and ECU reprogramming.
Harrison
Qualified mechanic
Harrison has been with the business since the beginning of his apprenticeship in 2012 and received a Box Hill Institute award during his training.
